At least four people were reported dead at Cascade Mall in Burlington, Washington today. The shooter involved in the crime fled the scene.
A lock down was also in effect following gunshots reported in a Macy’s store.
Police were enforcing evacuation orders of the mall.
A shooter reportedly entered a Macy’s store around 7:00 pm. The condition of the two victims is unknown.
The Department of Emergency Management of Skagit County asked the public to avoid the area.
Police are searching for at least one shooter and are sweeping stores in the mall, Sgt. Mark Francis said.
Burlington is about an hour north of Seattle.
“Please avoid Cascade Mall area in Burlington,” Francis said. ” Follow all road closures.”
